Well, Will offers a one day course in Blacksmithing. Which not only will cover the basics in fire management and forging with the set pieces but you’ll also have a great day out!

1 Day Blacksmith Course Outline
Date;
The date in which you attend the course is very flexible; it is on offer 7 days a week. All you have to do is call and book the day which suits you best. I do however have a quota to fill of 2 people a day. So if you are looking for a single placement I will have to pair you up with another single. The option of a one-on-one tuition is very much available but I will have to charge for the price of 2 participants.
Time Schedule;
The day runs between 9:30am to 5:00pm. We start with a quick 15minute safety talk, pointing all the dos and don’ts and then we get cracking playing with fire for the rest of the day.
I do have set pieces that are attainable for beginners to achieve in their first day. I find a fire poker and a hook to hang it on, are the best options.
Safety Equipment;
All safety equipment such as; glasses, ear defenders and gloves are provided. I do ask all participants to wear clothes that they do not mind getting dirty. Also to wear durable shoes (Walking Boots or Work Boots are preferable) Jeans and a cotton T-shirt are the best option or equivalent. Polyester or any synthetic fabrics are forbidden.
Facilities;
For Lunch there are several cafes very close to the forge (2 minute walk.) If you do not wish to use one of the cafes, pack lunches are advisable. Tea and Coffee will be provided throughout the day.
Payment;
I will need a 25% deposit upon booking the course,
The course is £100 per person, (maximum of 2 people per day.)
